For our final Good News Friday of the year, Davina and I thought we’d take a look back at some of the highlights of 2023.
We held a lot of activities for our young people, and these included reptile shows, summer picnics, our 8th Birthday events at outdoor activity centres, Halloween walks and of course, the Pantomimes in December. It was lovely to see so many people attend these.
For our foster carers we held coffee mornings, craft events and Christmas brunches which were all great opportunities to get together.
It’s also been great to see new faces, and, as well as a lot of new young people coming to stay with us, we’ve also welcomed new foster carers and staff during the year. We were also delighted to present a number of our foster carers and staff with service awards.
Most importantly though, the vast majority of our young people continue to make significant progress at school, clubs and activities, and this is due to the opportunities and encouragement you continue to provide them. Thank you for everything you have all done this year, you have truly embodied the spirit of having young people at heart.
