We were delighted to hear that, across the board, the birth children in our foster carer families achieved great results in their A level, AS and GCSE exams and are all able to continue with their chosen courses or move on to their preferred educational institutions.
Des Walsh, Registered Manager at Young People at Heart, said the birth children of foster carers were key members of the care team and the importance of their contribution to the successful outcomes for young people in care was often underestimated. He thanked them for everything they do to support young people in placement and congratulated them on their achievements.
Our young people in care are all too young to have written exams this year but they are all doing well in school and we look forward to celebrating their success in the years to come.
